St Vincent ’s College follows the NSW Board of Studies Syllabuses and teach all courses from Years 7 to 12.

Particular aims of SVC

  • to encourage each individual to reach her full potential in Mathematics
  • to develop self-confidence, a sense of worth and a belief in their own ability
  • to encourage students to assist each other and improve themselves as a group
  • to present Mathematics as a discipline that is not to be feared, but one that can be enjoyed and mastered
  • to promote Mathematics as a subject which leads to many exciting and worthwhile careers
  • to show the application of Mathematics in many other disciplines and in general problem solving
  • to encourage the acceptance of other students from different backgrounds and cultures and those with disabilities whether they be physical, emotional or cognitive
  • to help students recognise and appreciate their own strengths and weaknesses.
