St Vincent ’s College follows the NSW Board of Studies Syllabuses and teach all courses from Years 7 to 12.
Particular aims of SVC
- to encourage each individual to reach her full potential in Mathematics
- to develop self-confidence, a sense of worth and a belief in their own ability
- to encourage students to assist each other and improve themselves as a group
- to present Mathematics as a discipline that is not to be feared, but one that can be enjoyed and mastered
- to promote Mathematics as a subject which leads to many exciting and worthwhile careers
- to show the application of Mathematics in many other disciplines and in general problem solving
- to encourage the acceptance of other students from different backgrounds and cultures and those with disabilities whether they be physical, emotional or cognitive
- to help students recognise and appreciate their own strengths and weaknesses.
