IGSA FOOTBALL TERM 2 and 3 from (must play for both terms)

Our students register for the IGSA season which is renowned for its high level of competition and professionalism.

Competition Commencement:

All girls must be available to play the first Saturday of Term and every Saturday during the season. This is only fair, as you are part of a team that supports one another.

Important Dates:

The Term 2 IGSA Football competition begins on Saturday 4 May 2024. (No Game 8 June - LWE)

Round 7 games will be held on Saturday, 22June 2024. No Finals as it's first past the post.

The Term 3 IGSA competition begins on Saturday 27 July, 2024

The Semis will be held on Saturday 14 September and the Finals on Saturday 21 September.

Venue:

Our teams play against schools such as PLC Pymble, Abbotsleigh, and Kambala to name a few. The Saturday morning games are played at various venues, fields and schools throughout Sydney. Depending on the draw, some teams may have to travel to play Frensham at Mittagong. Game times range from 8am till 11am. Our home field is Moore Pk West, off Anzac Pde. Parking is difficult in this area but some can be found in Sydney Boys High School or across at Centennial Pk.

Transport:

Saturday transport is not arranged by the College. Boarders are to organise lifts with day girls in their teams and all Boarders must plan ahead and be proactive. Talk to your team/coach at training. Since Boarding students need to be driven to venues and back to school each Saturday, it would be good if this responsibility was shared with all parents. Please try to help the boarders at least once each term with lifts.

Saturdays:

Please allow time for Sydney traffic and arrive 30 minutes prior to match time for your warm-up. Please sign on with the Convenor and be in full College Sports uniform.
