In Conversation with Gemma Sisia (SVC Class of 1989)
Founder, The School of St Jude, Tanzania

Join us for a very special evening in conversation with Gemma Sisia, Australian humanitarian and founder of The School of St Jude in Tanzania.

A proud Vinnies woman, Gemma has dedicated her life to fighting poverty through education. This inspiring evening will explore Gemma’s journey from SVC to Tanzania, the courage it takes to lead with conviction, and the transformative power of education. Her story is one of purpose, resilience and the profound impact of giving a powerful reflection of this year’s International Women’s Day theme.

Join us as we celebrate leadership, compassion and the belief that when we give, we gain.

We will welcome Gemma, St Jude’s alumni Faith (Class of 2020), an inspiring young entrepreneur, and Johnson, one of St Jude's long-term staff members, to the College to hear their story. The evening will conclude with a Q&A.

Boarding has long been at the heart of St Vincent's College, weaving together city and country families in a community built on generosity and belonging.

This year, our SVC Mothers’ Weekend will be held in Wagga Wagga hosted by our boarding families . All mothers and carers are warmly invited.

More than a gathering, this weekend is a celebration of connection. It is a chance to bring together our city and country mums, strengthen friendships and experience the hospitality that sits at the heart of our boarding tradition. Come and enjoy the warmth of our Riverina community.
