As we move into Week 6, it has been a fantastic term of growth and development across all of our summer sports. Every team continues to show strong commitment at training and on game day, and it has been wonderful to see consistent improvement week after week.
Across all sports, students are demonstrating increased confidence, stronger teamwork and improved skill execution. The resilience shown in close matches and the willingness to apply coach feedback has been particularly impressive. Regardless of results, the effort, sportsmanship and College pride displayed each Saturday across Sydney venues has been outstanding.
On an exciting note, I am delighted to introduce our new Head of Soccer, Sarah Hunter. Sarah is a professional footballer for Sydney FC, where she has played over 50 matches and won two Premierships and one Championship in the A League Women. She also spent two seasons competing in Europe with Paris FC, where she was part of their French Cup winning squad and gained valuable experience at UEFA Women’s Champions League level. Internationally, Sarah has proudly represented Australia at U20 and U23 level and has also been selected in the senior Matildas squad. Sarah is passionate about supporting the next generation of athletes to develop their skills, confidence and love of the game.
